Clementines were originally grown at the citrus research center and were later introduced to California commercial agriculture in 1914. Clementines are mainly of two types- seedless clementines and with seeds.

Seedless clementines mainly exist in North Africa, and it has no seeds or very fewer seeds, it can’t pollinate on its own and needs to be cross-pollinated.

And on the other hand, there are clementines with seeds and as they have seeds so they can self-pollinate. They are also known as Monreal clementines, and on average they are larger than seedless variety and are sweeter than them.
