Figs or Anjeer is a flowering plant of the Mulberry family. Botanically it is known as Ficus Carica and is native to the Middle East and Western Asia but is now grown in many parts of the world as a commercial crop. Applying natural figs or figs extract on our skin not only keep our skin hydrated but also plays a significant role in effectively tightening the pores of our skin.

Another reason figs is good for our skin is that of their properties to moisturize our skin. To use figs as a moisturizer, apply fig paste on the skin and then rinse off within 5 minutes. It will make your skin soft, supple and hydrated. Keeping our skin well moisturized is important as it provides softness and smoothness to our skin and prevents it from being dry and flaky. Figs are beneficial not only for our skin but also for our lips. If you have cracked lips, simply apply a little fig paste on your skin. The paste of fig will help in preventing the excessive secretion of sebum and will thus assist in tightening skin pores.
